Wet End of the Paper Machine
Wet End Process
The wet end of the paper machine is the first section of the paper machine which involves the dewatering of the pulp in slurry form. The pulp slurry is a mixture of fiber and water. It is passed in a continuous rotating wire mesh which removes the water from the pulp either by sucking it out of suspension by vacuum or by pressing between two rolls.
Scan Machineries offers a wide range of products and machinery that dynamically adjusts to process changes and stabilizes the wet end process of the paper machine. We help to drastically improve your paper mill’s operation and promote long term sustainability and growth.

Paper Machine Wet End Manufacturer
Scan Machineries designs and manufactures the wet end section as a part of the complete paper machine. The wet end process (WEP) is also known as the approach flow in few cases, provides extreme flexibility for varying production rates, pulp qualities and basis weights with the help of the adjustable headbox slice. To maximize the dewatering, the wire section (Fourdrinier) can be furnished with a top former or it can be installed at a later stage when an increase in production is necessary.
The wet end process is an essential process stage in paper manufacturing which has a direct influence on the paper production and quality. Effective dewatering in the forming zone which starts directly after the headbox is possible with a double-sided dewatering system. It is followed by the press section which passes the pulp in a wire or felt between rolls creating a nip load.
